College student-macbook or macbook pro?

i'm going stale to school nest year and i dont know whether i should achieve a macbook or a macbook pro. my school reccomends the 2.16 GHz processor so I would definitly at smallest get the second model of the macbook (13 within white 2.16)
I dont know if i need the extra features on the macbook pro. I one and only really use my computer for typing documents, some pics and itunes, and surfing the web. Is it really called for or can i keep my 500$?

How going on for getting the Macbook and then, if you have an idea that you will have space, a second monitor and some other extras. Get a moral 3 or 5 button mouse for when your using it at your desk. You can use a nice 19" monitor to watch movies on surrounded by your room.
Get the Macbook, because its more portable then the Pro, and it looks better.
Get the MacBook. Based on what your accomplishments are, you don't need the extra power of the MBP. That's single for hardcore designers and artists.
