What is difference between Laptop and notebook?

Answer:
Laptop computers are somewhat larger than notebook and will accommodate a built-in disk drive unit and; optionally, a floppy drive section. That is, a CD ROM drive is any built into the unit or the part has a built-in inlet that will accommodate a removable CD ROM drive.

Notebook computers will allow you to attach, via cable, a compact disc ROM drive. Since the drive is not built into the unit, notebook are smaller and lighter than laptops. Hence, a notebook is an ultra small laptop. Another way to look at it is a notebook is around the size (or a little larger than) of a existing [binder] notebook
That is like asking what is the different between a motor and an automobile.

Just different terms.. Such as "Mobile Phone" and "Cell Phone" are different language for the same article.

There typically is no difference really. I think a notebook is thinner/smaller though. They're synonyms.
laptop computer (also specified as notebook computer) is a small mobile personal computer, usually weighing from 1 to 3 kilograms (2 to 7 pounds). Notebooks smaller than an A4 sheet of thesis and weighing around 1 kg are sometimes call sub-notebooks and those weighing around 5 kg a desknote (desktop/notebook). Computers larger than PDAs but smaller than notebook are also sometimes called "palmtops".
