...because I be planning on buying the VGA cable for my Xbox 360, thinking I could plug it into my laptop and play on my laptop's monitor. I searched other question to see if that is possible, and apparently it isn't. Is that VGA plugin for output use individual? If so, what would that be used for?

It's for like a projector to hook up to your laptop for presentations and stuff.
