I have asked and recieved the right answers to question that even have anything to do next to hp products.( software I installed) The pavillion you're looking at has more than satisfactory memory and a quick proccessor. He can play games, surf the web, store large files such as pictures. He will love it . Go for it. You won't find another company near such a high caliber of support. Get the HP.

Yes, HP notebooks are awesome but , I recomend you to travel for the ( DV2000z series ) AMD notebook model with the Nvidia Display card to some extent than the Intel notebook model. There are many notebook models available from HP. I recommend you to step for the DV6000z or DV9000z notebook models.
