Mac Vs. PC?
I am a Studio Art Major, next to a concentration in Photography.
any explinational direction as to why a mac would be the better choice?

Go with the mac. It's a large amount better for graphic design, and only in satchel the programs your school uses are one and only compatible with Windows, you can own Windows on your mac. You'd run it side by side with a program call Parallels. If you wait until you are registered near the school, you can buy your mac from Apple's website for $100 cheaper for mortal a student. A mac comes with most of the photo editing software you'll requirement for you photography course.
If you are going to do digital desgin, go near Macs. They have more tools for that sort of entity.

It comes beside more programs and there some programs that are built contained by, that would usually cost $1000. Mac ROCKS!!!!
Why to get a Mac - because you want to be one of the cool kids at institution!!!
Actually, one thing to look at is what type of computer is used at the institution you will be attending, in their Studio Art Department. Then you should receive the same type. That mode, the software you use for your classes will be exactly the same as what you hold on your own computer, making it easier for you to learn the software.
Another consideration, is that if you jump to work after getting out of school, you will probably be required to use a Mac, so that's another idea to learn on a Mac.
