New laptop?

My laptop crashed of late before university ended ultimate year, so now I'm contained by need of a unusual one. I was slanting towards the Gateway MX8738, as Best Buy had it on mart a few weeks ago, but now I'm reading that it's mobile life isn't the greatest, in the main because the 17" screen. I involve one that'll last at tiniest through the 2 hour classes, and I would like one that have many of one and the same features the MX8738 has, as capably as not cost to much (i.e. somewhere below $850). Any ideas or suggestions?

You can other replace the battery next to a better one (more cells).

There are also other way that I cogitate you don't want to take close to under clocking your cpu so it consumes smaller amount energy.

But gain a laptop with lower specs or just buy a better 9 cell battery and it should be fine :). I hold a dell inspiron 2200 and it can go through 2 hours :).

Battery energy will always be smaller amount than desired. Normally they function great when new, 4+ hours. This will with alacrity goto about 2-3 hours next to a year.
Laptop Batteries are famous for this.
I wouldn't spend so much time worrying give or take a few the ram. At the price point you are looking at, formulate sure it has at lowest 1 gig of strike. Otherwise Vista will be less than having presence.
Try to find a Tablet PC laptop. You will just love it. Trust me.

The price are a moment or two bit high but it's adjectives worth it.

I suggest the hp 6 series, check on hp.com for 6291ea, thats the one i enjoy got and it is really apt and its battery will live to more than 2 houres.
You should not find a Gateway because Gateway makes low power computers that are not reliable. If you want a high standard and reliable computer, you should get a Toshiba laptop. I would outstandingly recommend a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092.
