Where is a suitable place to buy a laptop for cheap?

I want to draw from a pretty decent laptop but I dont want to spend 2k for it!! I want it to hold a widescreen display and a dvd burner.. and be visually appealing.. HELP!!

Answer:
i just bought an HP pavilion notebook dv9000z next to an AMD 64 X2 processor and 1 gb of ram and an 120 gb hrd drv... its get a 17in widescreen and a built in camera... it be only 850 after rebate... but immediately is not a good time to buy since vista come out... mine is capeable but im not upgrading for another year or 2.... its not worth buying a new computer near vista in it... i'd find a nice laptop near XP still on it like me.... or hang about a year or two if you can
Check Wal-Mart
IBM sell refurbished notebook from their site, you might want to consider one of these. A T-series model is highly recommendable.

Try looking up the Gateway site they enjoy refurbished units at a vastly reasonable price. My daughter get one that is fabulous and she loves it. It's one of those tablets where on earth the screen does a 360 and you can write on it beside a stylus. You can even get Gateway credit and simply make payments respectively month.
better than walmart
