My laptop is getting hot. Isn't near any software that regulates power and stuff?

Alright I am sure that in that is some software that regulates power and stuff on a laptop. I saw it a while ago, and I was stupid not to bookmark it. Even if you could transmit me what kind of software that would be call, that would be helpful.

Even more valuable if you were to first name any software on download.com that does this. I just stipulation a good hypothesis so I can go force out for this. I'm pretty computer savvy (but stupid enough to forget adjectives programs).

Answer:
Nvidia ntune or speed fan , both are free, google them.
Go to notebookforums.com
I am not sure near such a program will do much good.

The harder you generate the laptop work the hotter it gets (battery, CPU).

Display properties - Screen investor has a power menu to form the system go into standby sooner, which give it time to cool off.

Most credible your latop has a means of access to throttle down the CPU speed (and hence the heat) in BIOS or surrounded by a special application for your brand of laptop. It is usually something like system software or settings.

In some cases a BIOS update may give a hand. Go to the manufactureer's support site for help on this.
For a HOT laptop -- turn it over when it is shut off-- and vacuum the fan and the bottom of the unit out. Sometimes it is dust and dirt surrounded by the fans and once you verbs it out-- it runs great. You can also use a cooling pad-- or lift it/tilt a bit more to enjoy more air running underneath it. Do not use on your knees (silly) or a bed or soft surface. I do not know about software-- usually it is hardware when it is hot.
No software but you can acquire a cooling pad from Wal-Mart for nearly $ 25.00. Also pick-up can air and spray your aficionado
