Will the motherboard and parts from a dell inspiron 3800 work surrounded by a 4100 series?

i hold a functional 3800...im thinking about buying a 4100 and swapping everything out b/c of the 4100s design and size difference. will the motherboard, harddrive and components work if i swap them into a 4100?

Answer:
If you do something similar to that keep this within mind you willl have to use another dell system..Dell products are not compatable near other computers...That is the down side of Dell..
So, you just want the suitcase?

You may as well freshly go to a local computer store and buy a investigational computer case if that's adjectives you want. The only piece you have to verbs about is the 'form factor' of the motherboard. As long as that fits, everything else will be fine if you are keeping it adjectives together.
wizz,
The mother board is the main slice of the computer regardless if its a laptop computer or notebook. If the mother board is not functional your machine is busted. If you will be dealing beside a computer consultant ask them
yes if your name is Macgyver.
