My laptop is broke assistance!!!?

i open it up n then adjectives of a sudden the thing said thst the report or some type of file is curropted....i put within the cd to reboot it but the screen go blank and it wont let me!!! back i have a compaq and window xp

When you put your CD, did you first conversion you boot order within the BIOS? Are you using a Windows XP disk? Or a system restore disk.

Have you tried booting into Safemode, this is done by pressing the F8 key during bootup.

Sounds like its a complex drive failure. Take it to a local shop.
Since your information is restricted, this is a hard one. If you can capture a usb drive or memory stick and go to the public library and download a copy of bootitNG. This will allow you to boot into some sort of OS from a floppy.
