DELL GUY IS TRYING TO SELL ME VISTA INSTEAD OF XP, SHOULD I OR NOT?
Answer:
Depends. I dont approaching vista because they still have plentifully of issue to resolve and drivers are not that stable yet ... but it be the same article for XP when it was released. I prefer Windows XP ...BUT within the near adjectives some application may required windows Vista.
So if you dont uses your computer for gaming and you dont own a lot of device plugged on your computer, you can walk with vista ... or if you dont want to discharge for vista in 3 years, better installed in a minute and suffer a bit, until everything is fixed.
i wouldnt
Wait 6 months before investing surrounded by Vista, give manufacturer time to create drivers to go near it, however you would need to buy Vista later, but the wait would be worth it.
While Vista isn't flawless, it is better than XP and for adjectives use you should get Vista immediately. I have it immediately and think it's much better and more intuitive than any previous altered copy of Windows. Plus, other software and hardware companies are going to be spending the next few years optimizing adjectives of their products for Vista, which will only benefit you.
Oh, and income the extra few bucks to get the medium (CD), it will be invaluable if you have problems contained by the future and stipulation to reload the system.
i have vista right presently. i used to have xp. Trust me, vista is alot better and it solves like mad of problems you might have within the future on your computer
Microsoft stopped selling XP the light of day they introduced Vista.
They will only issue replacement discs for XP for in the region of another year and It will be gone for good.
The insist on to wait something like a year is a good one. If you don't stipulation a computer right away. If you need one immediately. Look at manufactures sites for refurbished unit with XP loaded on them
If your using any elder or favorite programs you should check with the support or comfort pages located for those applications on their respective website to check and see if in that are any problems running your favorite programs on VISTA.
Base your decision on wither your elder software can run on Vista, your buying a new computer that have at minium of 2 gigs of memory, a large easier said than done drive and a good video card explicitly compatiable with running Vista's AERO drivers.
what do you want to use it for?if it is for professional, afterwards vista is good, as i hold just bought it myself. but except, then xp is simply as good conception. tell the DELL GUY that you want the XP, not the vista and if he say just travel for it, then you might want to progress somewhere else and get it. devout luck!!
I haven't used vista yet and as such cannot comment too much on it. Here is what I know.
Since it is a relatively tentative operating system not all drivers are available for it, so if you enjoy a piece of hardware that needs drivers, cause sure you can get them for vista.
Vista recommended (or is it minimum?) requirements is something similar to 1 gig of RAM so if you are going for vista label sure you've got at lowest possible that.
A lot of people who bough the concluding edition are upset at MS as the extras that they were promised i.e foreign content on a regular basis, a short time ago isn't coming, the blog for the developer of the extra content hasn't been blogged on for a couple of months any..
Oh yeah, apparently drivers are taking longer to get out as adjectives drivers now hold to be verified by Microsoft first, wither that is true or not im not too sure.
If you do stir for vista, just hold on to in mind that it is a alien OS and as such some things that you have / or even still buy may not be compatible next to it.
