this is a dutiful but really depends what that person will use the laptop for... for sheer power and speed I would hold to say alienware m9750 is the most powerful tool on the market but it dont receive released till march or at most minuscule that is what the alienware rep told me. m9750 supports the foreign core 2 duo processor and has two 7950 gpu's surrounded by sli. 17" wuxga 1920 x 1200 display up to 2GB 667MHz RAM and two 7,200rpm hard drives surrounded by raid 0 next to up to 400GB capacity also supports tv tuner and blueray disc. They read aloud that this system will be priced around $2,000 dollars! but no word has be released.
How nice to be rich. LOL
