Would the 'Gateway ML6227b Laptop' be a virtuous buy?

Answers:
I used to own a Gateway. I loved the laptop, but it come with some issues when I first get it. They offered me great support, even when my warranty expired. However, my laptop died after a year and a half (it be a motherboard problem and they told me it would cost $225 to replace it and I said no thanks).
That said, I took a look at the specs and I have to vote no
You see, there are moderately a lot of problems beside this laptop:
Intel(R) 943GML
Intel(R) Celeron(R) M Processor 520
This chip is very outdated, It's at least possible a year and a half prehistoric.
Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950
If you want to play games, this is a terrible graphics card. Anybody who intends to play games from the year 2004 and beyond cannot buy integrated graphics. They are doomed to failure quality and it's better to receive a dedicated NVIDIA (not ATI) graphics card.

Mark my words, Windows Vista runs REALLY SLOW if you lone have 1gigabyte of RAM. On my latest laptop I chose Windows XP and with 1GB RAM, it runs terrifically.

I recommend the new Core2Duo chips next to Santa Rosa (those with 800 FSB). That method you have two processors within one chip (The ML6227b only have one processor and is definately inferior to the current chips).

I am currently using a Dell Vostro 15.4", 1.6ghz core2duo, 1GB memory, 120GB hard drive, 8X dual covering DVD Burner, and a 128MB NVIDIA(R) GeForceTM 8400M GS graphics card
for $599USD (297 pounds)
So to make this short, your laptop is not a virtuous buy.
I like Gateway's support, contrary to popular belief (not roughly me liking it...in the order of it sucking). I have have no experience with that focused laptop but the one I do have from Gateway is reliable and the support that I own needed for it has be awesome.
don't think i'd be buying a Gateway laptop.

Can't influence that I'm so sure the company will exist two years down the road when you might need service or parts.
