Cannot startup laptop?
Answer:
I've never hear a laptop starting up so slow.what processor is your laptop? It could be the processor, like pentium4 or celeronM or the most recent models from intel>>Core 2 Duo. If the processor is slow then that's the problem. If you want to fix that, steal it to a computer repair shop and ask for a processor upgrade. (1.6ghz and up are perfect).
I had some problems on my laptop too. The programs i run on it nouns up very terrifically slow. So, one day i established to factory restore everything. And what do you know, it ran faster. You can try factory restore beforehand spending any money on it.

Hello,
Try going into msconfig and disable everything and add programs one at a time until get slow..
Also, those unwanted start up programs i suggest you F8 and get to the command prompt and delete the profile from their locations> then travel back within windows and start Regedit and find and delete any associations to those unwanted programs..
You might want to run sfc/scannow to see if any window files were corrupted..
Your OS could be messed up. Try this repair procedure for XP:
