Which computer would be better to draw from for a college student?

For my personal preference, I'd travel with the Compaq. I've other been a admirer of HP/Compaq, and not so much one of Gateway. My dad has a Gateway laptop very soon that he's only have for about six months and it's giving him trouble. Depending on what you're looking to spend, I found an awesome bundle at Wal-Mart for lone $798 loaded with tons of stuff. I'll include the cooperation below so you can check it out too!! But if I were between the two you are looking at, I'd def. capture the Compaq. And, whatever you do, don't bring a Dell.
The Compaq would be better for college.
The Celeron is an inferior chip. Get a Dell, with extended unpremeditated coverage. You won't be sorry when something happen to it. :)
HP Compaq is a top seller, Gateway have dropped way out of the top 5. There must be a explanation.
