Favourites....memory request for information?

When I'm on the web, I often put things on my "favourites" account so that I can go backbone to them later. Two things, (a) would this slow down my computer (the register of favourites is now comparatively long!) and (b) does this take up much of my memory? - sorry to nouns dim, but it is late at hours of darkness....then again, probably would be impossible to tell apart question surrounded by the morning!

Hi:

No the favourites list surrounded by your browser doesn't take-up much room, and wouldn't slow-down your computer.

Don't worry.

BTW: If you've get lots of favourites, it might be worth organizing them into folders though, instead of have a huge list.

Your Favourites register is just a document of text files that sit on your computer contained by a special folder and takes up incredibly little space.

They sit there slightly contently until you need to be paid use of them. The amount of space they use is minute because basically they are only an address and a title in a report.

The types of files that you should be concerned about are the video and pictures that you may have as those bear up the most space on your hard disk drive. Those are entire whoppers by comparison.

Now, most files can exist on your frozen drive no matter what their size is as long as you own enough free space for your computer to do its everyday tasks. That's what not easy drives are designed to do - hold files. So anything that sits on your computer in the My Documents folder, for example isn't really doing any injure.

The kinds of things that use up memory are the programs that are running on your computer. Those ones slow down the computer. The files that are running when your computer is surrounded by use.

If you take a look fundamental your clock on the bottom right corner of your screen. All of those icon are running now. Each statue represents a different program that has be told to start when your computer starts. Those files are the ones that slow down your computer.

Roll your mouse over each god and see what they are. There are ways of telling those files/programs not to start when Windows starts and those are ones you should try to stop but remember that relating programs not to start my cause Windows to stop functioning contained by the way you expect it to so you should other.

One example is MSN Messenger. It used to start everytime my computer started, but I don't use Messenger, so I right clicked on it and Exit.

It came posterior the next time I started, so I removed Messenger.
