Dell I don`t know good contained by america but their support is rubbish over here if you get a problem. At lowest with currys or notebook world you deal next to THEIR people if you own a problem.

If you do seriously of photography, as a back up, hold you thought of buying an external hard drive. They are great for storage and you should bring back a 250 gig one for nearly lb70 for somewhere like ebuyer. I grasp one and keep everything on at hand.
I'm sure many will try to steer you towards a Mac, but I'm really not a hanger-on. And although I don't do photography, I do an awful lot of design drawing (CAD etc) which takes up seriously of memory and requires good graphics. My computer whiz friend recommended the Toshiba A100. I've have it for a year now and it's fantastic. I'd recommend a more up to date model, undoubtedly, but I don't think you could do much better.
