Is this a honourable laptop?
Im going to use it for the college: projects, homeworks. and also for itunes, internet, and the basics.

two points i would like to put emphasis on
i. ram of 512 mb next to the vista home basic is a moment ago about borderline, going up is advisable
ii. processor > amd sempron is pretty poor, the amd turin's act better ; not counting intel
since you are targeting this model, i would suggest you compare it to the dell inspirion 1501 > which also ships near windows xp & is freely configurable

The combination of Windows Vista and only 512 MB Ram doesn't nouns healthy though... 512MB Ram itself already sounds sick
If you get any smaller number Ram you might even be moving back surrounded by time...
This laptop sounds like it could be up to a year frail already. The other guy is right about the strike combined with Windows Vista, I would suggest if you already own the laptop to upgrade the ram if you can. If not, here are better products out there today at clothed prices.
The only item is the ram, near Vista. If you can get it next to xp then run for it - it'll be cheaper and you won't need to upgrade the push.
If not then 1 see of ram is the mimimum reccommended, although some ancestors say the Basic edition runs fine near 512mb. Try it out and if it's too slow then bring back another 512mb.
Apart from that, it's perfectly fine for the things you want to use it for.
