I accidently erased the cd rom from my laptop. How do i restore the d: drive backbone on my computer?

when i insert a cd into the laptop, it doesn't work because the drive be deleted. What must i do to obtain it to work again?

reboot ... if that doesnt fix it uninstall ur ide from device representative then reboot .. if that doesnt do it reload bios default ..
All you should have to do is restart the computer. If that doesn't work after open up control panel and run "Add Hardware". It should find it automatically.
