How to update IEEE 1394 Host Controller?

It be working just fine.. in a minute it doesn't recognize my camcorder when i plug it to the firewire... i tryed to uninstall and reinstalling the drive by restarting my computer after, but that doesnt' appear to work. Does anybody know of a specific website i can go to download a driver update for IEEE 1394?

Hello, you may like to use differnt firewire, I know, it is expensive, but it would be worth trying a different one, you may close to to borrow from a friend or take computer at one of the computer shops within town, I'm sure, they would be happy to assistance you at no charge. There may be some problem with the firewire port, computer shops can also check them, because if the problem is next to the firewire, they may like to trade one and help you at no charge.

Have you tried the Sony site for the OEM drivers? Have you tried reinstalled your camera's software?
go to sony website for workstation notebook /driver support and look up your model then ieee 1394 host controller drivers.
