Well first we read Vista requirements - so you current laptp must have;
Minimum 128 Dedicated Videoram. Not shared! If you want to enjoy AeRo interface and being competent to play same small games or use Photoshop.Better 256 or 512 of course.
Minimum 1 GB RAM - Vista use at lest 1 , but my proposal - buy laptop with proficiency of max 2GB RAM or MORE. My lapy now enjoy 2 GB and Vista use 1.5 of them :)
HDD - 120 GB 5400 rpm or faster (like 7200) SATA interface
and well Vista business or Ultimate :)
You can also bye MacPro laptop next to these hardware specifications - hardware is good and you can run and Vista on it, not lone MacOS. After you buy it :):)
All these specification will help you to use laptop for 3 year until that time some mayor upgrade.
