some programs, like itunes or instant messengers start whenever you turn your computer on
they slow your computer down
shift their settings
(uncheck "start when windows starts")
or run disk defragmenter... i did that once, and it in fact speeded up my computer :]
its in trappings in the start menu.
and while your doing that, do disk verbs up and delete all those unnessesary files. (cache, temp folder...etc)
hope it works :]
I reload mine give or take a few every 6 months just to hang on to things fresh.
Download CCleaner, ccleaner.com. There is a utility to disable some start up options, which can speed up the process.
Edit- to the poster below it looks approaching a scam to me.
