My laptop post beep are 1.4.2....1 anyone give a hand me?

HI at hand, the previous responder is correct in assuming that you own a RAM problem. I have attached links to two websites that account beep code pattern and what they mean. Incidentally if this laptop is a toshiba, be aware that some 6000 series and 8000 series toshiba laptops are seedy for having dodgy knock against sockets which often cause this behavior. OK, we all so far agree that this is a RAM problem..
presently lets find out...
Step By Step Lets Fix It
1) Power down your system and remove the Battery and power
2) on a table timber goto the back side of your laptop.

If your system have only one RAM chip of late take it to a shop if you find a apt shop they will have Known Good Test chip's and they can work over the computer for you
