How do i modify the regional code on my computers dvd player ?

i go out of the country and changed my computers dvd player regional code for the first time meaning i should enjoy 3 more times that i can change it but immediately when i put a dvd in the player posterior here in the states the prompt doesnt come up unfolding me how to change it i own windows medium player anyone know how to fix it?

1. Right click on My Computer.
2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
3. Click the Hardware Tab.
4. Click the Device Manager Button.
5. Expand the DVD/CD ROM Device branch.
6. Right-click your DVD device and select Properties
7. Select the DVD Region tab.
8. Click OK.
To swing the DVD region, follow these steps:

1. Open My Computer.
2. Right-click on the DVD drive icon and select Properties.
3. Click on "Hardware" tab.
4. Under "Hardware" tab, from the chronicle of Disk Drives, select the DVD drive entry.
5. Click "Properties" button.
6. Now, click the "DVD Region" tab.
7. Here, you can select the Region.
8. Click OK after you have elected the Region.
9.. Click Apply and OK.

This will change the DVD region for the drive.
