Windows Vista?

What the heck? Our laptop that have XP on it lost it's backlight. We bought a new laptop and it have Vista as the OS. Will ANY XP software work with Vista? Do we enjoy to upgrade or add a patch to kind those programs work?

For your laptop that lost its backlight, the problem could be the driver circuit. I had to replace one of these on an HP laptop. I ordered it direct from HP (about $40) and installed it myself.

Much existing software will work near Vista, but this must be answered on a case by overnight case basis. Microsoft's website have resources concerning this as well as the vendor's website of the software within question.
