Is it worth to fix mature laptop or gain a investigational one?

I currently own a Apple G4 15" Powerbook that have some things that need fixing (clasp won't stay closed, blind dims on it's own, needs tentative battery, the cd slot is slightly sick but can still get cd's in/out, & the charger is loose & tend to fall out.). It runs fine except that. Is it worth fixing all these (I don't know how much it will cost) or should I buy a untried one? And if so which brands are better (I've been looking at Hp and Toshiba, they nouns good but I don't know much almost computers.)

I'm a multi-tasker so I need a hasty one. I'll be using it for school and possibly some games. Any help and/or direction is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

id basically get a unsullied one, and sell that to someone to cover your costs

what is the cost of fixing the laptop...is the cost worth it? how long will you use the laptop after you get it fixed.and how much will the investigational laptop costs you? so after you made this cost benefit analysis then you can agree on. Good luck.
Replace it, you will spend more to repair it. I am a Mac and Pc repair tech, and just for the few things you mentioned would cost over $300 near the monitor being the most expensive. Any time you start putting more than $300 within a old system it's best to basically replace it.
First of all, Apple...Not worth the physical exertion to fix, so Definately buy a new one. You are chitchat about a lap-top, right? in that are many brands and types of lap-tops out in that to consider. Just remember, if you want high speed, check out the brands that you can own such an OS on and internet connection.
It will cost u much more than its worth. It would be economically realistic to just buy a tentative one. If u have a best buy in close proximity where u are, they hold a great sale going on, I saw one for $399. Its an Acer AMD 64 Turion, 1GB of memory, 80 GB tough drive, Dual layer dvd burner, and card reader. You can also check it out at bestbuy.com

I want you to know, that all laptops are built to be fundamentally limited surrounded by their expandability.
You also need to know that while Vista is still vastly uinstable, the machines built for Vista are not being provided any drivers for XP, so, if Vista is so buggy that you cannot use it effevtively, later you cannot go rear legs to XP.
