Easiest process to speed up a laptop.?

I enjoy a HP DV5000 laptop and need to speed it up. Seems to be other slow, and there is not profoundly of apps running.

Any helpful philosophy on how to speed it up?

Answers:
first check it for spy ware/malware then scan beside an anti virus program. then defrag the rugged drive. then incorporate more ram(in a laptop the more the faster). As a last resort after protection up your drive, reinstall your operating system and programs as the registry can become cloged with unwanted items that can slow your machine down. also check how various programes are in your systray close adjectives that you are not useing
Aside from buying a new appliance, the easiest thing you can do yourself is to upgrade its memory. You can also try reformatting the tough drive and starting everything from scratch.
The push button word for speed is memory. Increase your RAM and or check the swap file within the control panel of Windows and increase it slightly.
Check for background processes within task mediator and see if any HP bloatware is slowing you down. If so, I'd uninstall the programs in request for information, but just construct sure you dont go uninstalling critical applications.
