Since you hold been looking for a while I suspect that you enjoy narrowed down which features are most important. So, I would sort a list of adjectives the important features and after put them in command of most important to tiniest important. I would later pick the models from HP and Dell that are closest to your needs.
I consider HP and Dell to be the top tier manufacturer's. A little more than the others, but still other. About six months ago Dell was getting a doomed to failure rap for service, but they have spend $200M + to amend their service. HP hired a new CEO and he have really improved the company over the closing year or so, so I would go beside one of these two companies.
So, compare the two models that best meet your requirements from these companies and are within your budget and I suspect you will be a cheerful laptop user with a brand different laptop.

I bought my second HP concluding September and mostly I like it. I didn't income attention though to the Microsoft Office applications, and it turns out that I only have use of them for 60 days, after which I have to purchase the full software.
So anything you buy, make sure it have the full product you intend to use.

Macbooks from Macintosh (apple) are really good beside Multimedia and you can get them smaller amount than 1900. They are amazing and designed for multimedia. They come with a built-in camera, and there's adjectives types of other programs you can use. That's what I would buy.
I know you don't want an Apple.but thats what I have and within is nothing better! I recomend an apple/mac!!
I suppose that a dell computer is the best.
Dell, great all round nouns tops at a decent price. Got o Dell.com and check them out, they will build them to you specs and for $1000 you can bring a great machine.
