How successful (and necessary) are notebook coolers?

antec sell one called the notebook cooler and it sits below your laptop and runs a fan. it pulls grill away from your laptop, thus keeping it cooler. for $45, is it worth the money?

It's too expensive..i bought one at a local hardware shop for about $20...but aside from the price, it's massively useful. It could prevent your laptop from burning out.(My matured one did)
I agree with John to expensive. maker like to put the fan at the bottom of the unit. If you own your unit sitting on you couch or bed next it will not get ample nouns supply to cool your unit. To me These are a essential to the duration of the unit.
