My laptop be dropped and immediately the monitor is depressing. Can it be fixed?

Answer:
Often, repairs to laptops can cost what the piece cost you, new. I would hold you begin to look around to see if you can find a friend who will try to repair it for you. I am wondering if it be dropped on its on/off switch. Because the problem then might be individual that the unit is not getting power. See if you can find someone who will be of a mind to look at it and try to fix it for you, unless you know a computer repair shop that does really good work for all right prices. Ask around and people will serve you find the right place to bring it for the best repair price if that is the route you ultimately wish to go. But I would try to find a techie friend first who would be feeling like to sort it for you. Good luck to you with this one, I can visualize how frustrating this is for you! Chris.
no
laptop monitors are very terribly expensive. by spending the same money you can get hold of a new laptop. sorry :(
yes it can be fixed but its going to cost you so much money you better sour buying a new laptop. i recommend going on ebay and see if anyone is selling only the screen, sometimes you will find them sometime you wont.
Try switching it on
Yes, it CAN be fixed. The big examine is what exactly NEEDS to be fixed. If you can't trouble shoot it yourself, expect a big repair bill.
no i dont think so. i dropped my laptop from stairs. blind broke. i claimed new laptop from my house insurance company. they get the laptop now checking if it can be fixed. save they will send me another fresh laptop. i suggest you do the same. i ll obtain my new laptop by thursday. yay
It will probably cost you more than it is worth. Screens can be very expensive and depends if anything else also. Plus to transport can cost in postage. I enjoy a notebook for someone where blind is okay yet PC lover stops (a common shortcoming in these models) so this is worth doing, but one beside a cracked screen I have would cost lb424 with work to fix yet the newer model near Vista is lb489. I threw it away and kept the harddrive and some parts I gave someone for spares. Ie the processor. Keep the RAM - it may provide on ebay. Also destroy or retain the Windows knob, though you shouldn't really.

My advice is to buy a alien notebook, remove the drive from the old and depending on whether SATA or IDE buy a 2.5" USB grip from e-bay so you can get stern any data on it. Then format it as an NTFS logical drive. I use Acronis Disk Director 10. Now you'll own double storage space!
Probably if it's the backlight, but don't open it yourself as it will contain invisible toxic mercury gas & mercury dust from the cold cathodes..
You have dilapidated the liqid crystalls inside the monitor unfortunately you can with the sole purpose repair this by having a costly repair mission.
I'm not sure, sorry.
if you can see pictures in the dimness (i expect so)
youve bust the lighting tube, yes it can be fixed, go to a appropriate pc shop, not laptop world, one that advertises laptop fixes
its not a intricate fix for someone trained if they can get the tube
