Is it possible to connect my slim ps2 to my laptop for online gaming? I also enjoy the Linksys..?
1. To use my laptop eyeshade as the TV when playing a game near my ps2.
2. To use my laptop for my Internet connection to see online gaming with my ps2.
I also own the Linksys Wireless-G Game Adapter. The first version...the one lacking the installation disc. Perhaps someone can tell me if this is even possible to do, and if so, the steps to receive my ps2 connected. Any help you can provide is appreciated!
Thank you!
Answer:
To the other poster-Yup, it sure is possible to access the internet in need an adaptor :). The newer SLIMLINE PS2 already has it integrated.
Also, if you own a game that enable online-play, you don't the setup disc. If you have a activity that allows online-play, that game should already hold an internet set-up process for you.
All you need for the Slim Ps2 is an ethernet cable...close to this one, that can connect from your laptop to the plug in the final of your console. http://www.helponechild.org/help/images/...
And yes, it is possible to use the Linksys for the job- However, you can't use it just yet-you must assign it near the IP address of your PS2. Though you probably already knew that :) - Here's the intertwine just contained by case to know how to find IP for adjectives consoles (including yours, which is on top) http://kb.iu.edu/data/aloi.html#slim...
Linksys wireless seems to confer some people problems next to ps2 internet connection however -even when they connected everything right. You may catch an error stating no connection between DSN servers. This seem to be a problem with enduring games. I’ll get stern to you if you’re still having problems
