I only just installed Windows Vista on my home Toshiba laptop presently World of Warcraft runs slow after crashes.?

Do I requirement to install more RAM? It ran fine on Windows XP. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite. I salaried $900.00 at Best Buy in January.

That be a mistake, wasn't it? I'd go stern to Windows XP, or consider the many hardware and software items that don't work any more.

Getting more RAM will minister to. Visit http://www.coastmemory.com and look up your system.

Good old Windows XP be supposed to work with 128MB of RAM and they first sold computers that track. But now, it is best if it have 512MB or more. That's a factor of FOUR. When Windows 98 came out, they said that 32 MB be enough; but it really runs fine when you own 128MB of RAM. That's the same Factor of FOUR.

So today, they get rid of Windows Vista with only 512MB of RAM... That factor of four means that you should hold 2GB of RAM.

But maybe World of Warcraft will never run correctly underneath Windows Vista. Bad Frame rates and crashes are reported at many of the discussion boards. Just perchance, Warcraft will issue some Vista patches and updates.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

i suspect you need to do some driver updates, beside video drivers taking the top priority..
microsoft just only just released a "performance" patch for vista. If you have not already installed that, do so. If you enjoy and it still doesn't work, I would either upgrade to 2gb run into (2gb seems to be the minimum recommended right now) or only just go rear to xp.
if you upgraded your OS to win vista, you should also install drivers for your chipset-motherboard, video card, sound card and etc compatible near windows vista...

at hand are also certain system requirements for your laptop to function ably on win vista.. here are the system req. you could check them in this site.: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/product...

also basically wanna inform you that not all software or hardware are compatible beside win vista.. im a dell technician for hardware and software.. i've experience those kinds of problems so you really enjoy to choose the prog and software you'll be installing... always check system requirements..

vista is only just new so not adjectives prog are updated to this operating system..

the best thing is check your system req and supply up more ram into your laptop.. it will aid and if you haven't updated your drivers, try updating them also..

good luck :)
