You would be better sour calling a shop for an estimate.
The part might cost a couple hundred dollars, and next there's labor.
several hundred dollars is the norm. It is often cheaper to buy a topical laptop than to replace the screen.
Dont bother, the sense laptops are expensive is because of the LCD screen... it is more predictable expensive to replace and repair. I suggest getting another laptop for the cost you are going to repair it. Chances are it could unreplacable. If you still have warrenty, it should be covered.
If you are worried something like files, you can take out your tricky drive and put it in your bright laptop. Or you can connect a real monitor to your Monitor outlet on your laptop and still work on your computer.
Just buy a different laptop unless it is covered by insurance.
