I want a laptop?

But I don't know much around computers at all. I want something that's affordable. But at equal time, not a piece of crap. I don't need fancy pant stuff for gaming, but if I wanted to study a movie or something, I'd rather it didn't look close to crap. I also want to be able to steal internet from my mother surrounded by laws house when I'm near! haha. I don't want to call Dell, because for some drive, I don't trust sales inhabitants. If I'm not armed with awareness, I'm pretty sure they'll rip me off! I'm looking to spend around 700 or so, offer or take a hundred. What do you recommend?

Also- Is a laptop duplicate as a notebook?

Answers:
(notebook=laptop for all intents and purposes)
If you look on dell website, you can get a unclothed bones laptop for much less than that, that will do you only just fine.

Movies barely lug any power to play. (much less than browsing the internet) and close to, 98% of all laptops come beside a wifi card built in. Dell's inspirons are pretty correct laptops, and are well priced. My sister have the 1501, and the only complaint I enjoy is the processor. If you call and ask for an inspiron 1501 next to the best processor they can put in it (the TL-60) 1 Gigabyte of strike, and (if you want) a 9 cell battery (1.5 hr mobile life is no accurate.) then you've get a real respectable laptop for simply around 750$

(if you don't want to spend that much, and battery is earth-shattering to you, skimp on the processor)

And another thing. They will PUSH the service plans on you, and take home them sound close to a good deal. The entity is, when your laptop is three years old, it won't be worth much anway.. It make more sense just to be cautious. (Kind of like, not getting insurance on a toddler, just NOT dropping it. If you remember how much it cost (and you will) consequently it will be very knotty for you to break it)
Get an Acer Aspire or a HP Pavilion ntebook. They're really affordabble and don't slack when u need anything. HP Pavilion even comes next to QuickPlay so u don't need to boot Windows to view movies. Also, a notebook is the sameas a laptop.
lol, u really dnt knw anything u knw!!
jus go to a PC world or currys (if u live surrounded by UK) and look for a laptop that costs around 700-800
they are all alike and a laptop that costs that much is gna be really gud!

PS. Dell wnt rip ya! its not like the operator are gna get anything out of it lol
Go to circuitcity.com. You can read customer reviews on respectively of their laptops. I have bought 2 Toshiba's from at hand. The salesman have other been honest beside me. I have cultured that all the up to date computers come w/ windows vista and it take a lot of space. I bought one near 1024 ram. Works apposite for me. Sony and Toshiba are good laptops. Plus circuity city other has sale.
Yes laptop and notebook are the same. Check the weekly sale from Best Buy, Circuit City, Costgo, etc. You want a HP or Toshiba with a dyed-in-the-wool video card for gaming.
