I'm thinking on getting a laptop...suggestions?
Answer:
for digital photos, primary web design, and storing music i say aloud get a dell precision M90. they're built for that.
but for, get a dell Inspiron 6400 or 1501.
Get a Gateway, or a HP. Both are great laptops i enjoy a gateway laptop, i also have a HP desktop. Both work great. Get one that suits your wants.
I love my Dell Inspiron laptop. I use it as my only computer, and required to be able to do more than merely word processing when I purchased it about 2 years ago. Mine have a 17" screen. While it is a touch heavier than some (due to the large eyeshade size) I have never have a problem with speed. I also really approaching Dell's support. They had to replace the upright shortly after I got it and come out to my work during the day - I didn't enjoy to find a store. They also recently replaced the blind, also at my work. This was so convenient because I didn't hold to wait at home for them, and didn't own to worry almost locating a local repair shop. Dell also allows you to report a problem online - which is really fast and have helpful technicians (I infer even faster than the phone).
At any rate - I highly recommend a Dell, and especially similar to my Inspiron.
Good Luck!
I'd recommend starting with a desired configuration and later compare prices and support agreements between manufacturers. A virtuous place to find computer configurations is http://www.comprec.com
http://www.apple.com/macbook/macbook.htm...
or
http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/...
Everything else is junk. Macs are the single computers that can run OS X, Linux, and Windows. That means they can run more software than any other compter. They can even run Windows from in OS X.
OS X is best for photos, web design, and music. It's also best for indemnity and ease of use.
Get a Mac. You'll be glad you did.
capture a hp pavillion dv6103 i got it for $240 unadulterated fast no build within camera
