Can anyone report me why my laptop is workin so slow?

I hav an acer laptop! It be working extremely fast since yesterday! Yesterday i installed a few updates frm ma anti virus and after i downloaded a few smiley programs for ma msn. Today when i started ma laptop it was working reallly sloww! Plz convey me why. Its takin ages for a program to open and i cant digit out why! plz tell me the function behind this problem and wat i can do to resolve it. However i hav delete the smiley program in casing it was turns out to be the troublemaker! how can i resolve this prob! wud installing tentative windows lend a hand

try and do a system restore. I think that would work. It could be a semi-last resort.

Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Restore

try and travel back to the sunshine when it was working fine since you installed the smiley program. It should be fine. Don't go backbone to far or you'll lose your files and data.
Was it Smiley Central?? Horrid programme full of spyware.

Try running a full scan beside something like Housecall or Panda - and run Spybot to obtain rid of all the nasties.

did you try disk defragmenter?

or try rebooting your laptop if its still slow contact your seller, if its quick then install and restart the laptop for every update you've download until you've get the answer

Restore your system back to the sunshine before tally anything that you put in your interview. Then add them one at a time, do one a light of day.. When you start slowing down again you will know which one is the culprit. And you restore back to the daylight before and make tracks that one off... Before doing the restore, run a spy delete program and defrag your system to see if that will back... if it does you don't need to do the restore.

To do a restore progress to Start, programs, accessories, system tools and System restore and choose a date within a dark color... to be precise a restore point.
You won't lose any data... it newly restores your system files..
Have you ever heard of "msconfig"? Type this within your "run" dialog box and...well...it would be easier if i walk you through it. It basically give you the option of canceling buried programs from starting up when you first log in and stealing your memory. Although you have delete the other files still its in your recycle bin ... pls check your memory size, for you to know how far you could still go for positive new files.
