Windows Vista Question?

I am going to buy a contemporary laptop, and i am going to get window vista on it. I am wondering though if i need to purchase Microsoft Office seperatly or does it come beside it? As I need Word, Powerpoint, etc

Answer:
MS Office is separate and you own to buy it.

Do not buy laptop by brand name.

Try several sites in the past you buy!

Go to sites that let YOU configure the laptop the instrument YOU want it. Compare prices. Buy the configuration you want at the price you want to pay.

Laptop Issues:
CPU; Dual Core - Intel is the fastest, AMD is honourable from price/performance
RAM: Not less than 2GB
Hard Drive: SATA interface over IDE. 80 or more GB, 8MB CACHE, 16MB is better
DVD/CD Burner Reader just is not acceptable
Wireless and Ethernet READY
Graphic card is better than on the train graphic.
Sound Card is a plus.
USB and IEE external ports is a must.
Buy a small USB mouse
Buy an external USB firm drive, at least 200GB
Buy XP Pro and VISTA
While installing XP FIRST, create 3 Partitions
one 15GB, one 25GB. Install XP surrounded by 15GB
first. The install VISTA in 25GB. SAVE ALL of YOUR DATA FILES IN THE 3rd/unused screen. Never store your data surrounded by the same fence with the Operating System. Both systems will see your facts.
After install, go to www.microsoft.com
UPDATE and agree to that site update your system.

Check out what the computer specs are to see if it comes bundled with the computer...not awfully likely to attain anything more than 30 - 60 day trials. You should by Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student ($149.99)...I know, Microsoft is screw us all...charging outrageous prices for software that most relations are forced to use. But Office 2007 seems to be awfully efficient.
I hold Windows Vista right now, its pretty moral actually. You will stipulation to purchase the MS Office compatible with Vista. However it will unfold files from the Xp version too, and when you store a new word doc using Vista, it will distribute you an option to amass in the format compatible next to previous windows systems- Overall, you might wanna buy the MS bureau compatible with Vista, as it single lets you use it for free for just about 24 times, after that, it will need the product number or something..
Otherwise, I am enjoy it.
