I'd start by figuring out what features you want ... size, consignment, battery natural life, display size, etc.

Then what applications you intend on running ... games, word processing, browsing the web, e-mail, chat, photos ... base upon the applications, especially if games then look at the minimum systems requirements to integer out what hardware and software is required.

The decide upon your budget.

Over 100 million laptops will ship contained by 2006 and the majority will be made by HP, Dell, Acer, Lenovo (formerly IBM) and Toshiba (in that rank order).

The following are the type of laptops: Ultraportable, Thin-and-light, Mainstream, Desktop replacement/gaming laptops and Budget laptops. So, base upon your desired features and applications and budget pick a couple models from these vendors and compare them. That should allow you to produce a good choice and be a thrilled laptop purchaser.
dell for games
they both aren't really powerful laptops. if you are just looking for STYLE. consequently get the second laptop on your register. those laptops are also pretty pricey considering what parts they have. if you want a powerful laptop. stir for a ASUS laptop (about the same price), or perchance build your own at dell or hp. They are all still pretty stylish.
by uprightness of the more powerful processor (Intel CoreTM 2 Duo processor T7100), get the CR :)
The second one is better. It have a better processor, better capabilities, and better nouns system. The first one is more geared for a work computer and the second one is more a personal one.
The CR model has a serious flaw, a loose freestyle case. Take the other.
I would run with the second one, the VAIO(R) CR Series.
