Hi in that. can someone help me out on this pls. i am using Toshiba satellite pro M70 laptop. i happen to visit a wifi spot to check the phase. i was lower than the impression that newly by turning on the wifi button, i would be able to return with access to the internet. but that wasn't the case. would appreciate if anyone could guide me on this.

Nope. You stipulation to get the WiFi spot's SSID (the "name" the access point) and, if it's protected, the WEP or WPA "passcode."
If it's an unfold hotspot, then you should know how to turn on the WiFi radio (sounds like you did this) and after, if it's not already running, use your laptop's location chooser to ensure it's connecting. Some are not configured to auto-connect.
