No nouns on my laptop?

you want to look for the device manager on the laptop mine is window xp to get to it i run START,Settings,Control Panel then system afterwards device manager .
Goto sounds and click on some and try trouble shoot to fix the prob.
Double check your volume isnt down or as powerfully look by the clock on the desktop for a speaker symbol and click on it check volume is up
Maybe there is a small button on the side of the laptop, for turning sour the speakers. Mine has one.

Have a look in device governor. You may have inadvertently disabled the nouns card.

After that it should work.
If it isn't that then i really do not know unless your nouns card has gone bust.
