But as you would expect.. The main piece is, look at what you need to do next to the laptop, and how much you are willing to spend, next go to your local electronics store and grasp a little bit of assistance from the clerks.. I would suggest, at minimum, the fastest cpu you can go and get, at least 2 gb of run into, 200 to 300 gb hard drive, wireless internet, (built-in,) at most minuscule a 15.4 widescreen monitor, with video out adapters so you can hook to a 19" or larger monitor, nouns, and any other bells and whistles you craving to pay for.
if you are up yo it, dell XPS M2010 is the best notebook ever. but... it starts at 3000 dollars. If you are looking for something smaller number expensive, try the dell XPS M1210 or the Inspiron 1501.
Obviously you can use any notebook when you are away but I assume your problem is running your business from it?

Well as one guy suggested wireless is a must have contained by case near are any hotspots nearby but what you have need of for true mobility in the UK anyway is a 3G card or a compatible phone you can plug within. I use a Nokia N80 and that means that practically surrounded by any city or on any A road I can get possibly high internet speeds so I can work as if contained by the office.

Not cheap but it is significant, if you have a compatible phone and one and only use it when necessary afterwards the price could be worse as well.
here's a relationship on ebay that you can read reviews of them by ebay members
I would stay away from Dell if i be you if you are in the uk. Their support is rubbish. It probably ok contained by america. My sister buys all of the IT equipment for her works. They enjoy to buy DELL. She tells me that out of every 4 computers she buys in attendance will something wrong with one of them, laptops are for a while better but support is rubbish. My advice would be to buy one locally where on earth you can take it vertebrae in the first month if it go wrong and make sure you hold good backbone up support. I use HP at work and find their back up terribly good. Don't buy packard bell, advent or NEC, they adjectives the same. Look at what you want the laptop to do and after buy the best you can afford to spend. Try and buy one with a devoted graphics card and one that as at least 2 slots for memory. Big firm drives are a waste of time within a laptop as external drives are so cheap. We have 2 acers within our family, a cheap lb400 one merely used to surf and type letters and another one beside dual core processor which my son uses for web design. Both hold intel 950GMA graphics which is the ONLY one that Intel recommend for vista. How do I know this......Because I rang them second week. By the way our cheap Acer have Intel 950 graphics which will run Vista Aeros, 15.4", has a 1.73 ghz processor, dvd dual level re-writer, wireless and wired, 4 usb2, S video, 6 in 1 card reader, monitor outlet, 1gb of knock against which is easily upgradeable to 2gb and bluetooth and have crystal clear screen. Comes next to no rubbish software. lb400. For lb500 you could get a dual core processor. Don't spend lb100's, spend smaller number and stay away longer.

I would recommend Acer or HP and go for the mobile phone mentioned contained by above answer.
I like Dell check it out they own great deals for business solutions. be in motion to dell.com
I have an ACER 5002wLMI for public sale! Bought it for school roughly 1 year ago and no longer need it. Email if interested.
