What is a right, consistent home computer to buy?
Answer:
You know - companies don't stay in business in need backing up their products. It's rugged to buy a bad computer for home use - IF you do rather homework and do the right things.
Don't get an "economy" chip (i.e. Celeron)..... stay near the higher wind up chips; today I'd go a duo core - it's the just way.
The defence is important (today their making them next to hardly any noise).. I'd try to achieve 2 gigs of ram and a digital monitor of anything size and do a little research on the power supply.
Last but not lowest possible - these are 'electronic' components; ANYTHING can happen; I don't diligence how good the computer is. Macs enjoy problems too - don't let family fool you..... so that warranty is very far-reaching - don't skimp (unless you want to try to learn give or take a few your computer and do it yourself).
I used to sell for Dell - they sort a good product IF you don't try to bring back the 'basic' computer with the 'economy' chip. With computers, it's patently "you get what you take-home pay for". My cousin's power supply went bleak and they had a tech at her door inwardly 24 hours......this was simply recently.
Any flawless manufacturer will rear up his product....if it's cheap.... it is......... You should be able to do slightly a bit right around 15-1800... (with a warranty).
Sometimes you can find people that will build them "per your specs" and they will warrenty it also. That give you total control of your components - but you have to do your homework.
