so the charging circuits are designed not to impairment the batteries even if they are other plugged in
kind sure that you don't block the cooling vents on the laptop though - they can draw from quite hot. conceivably lift the support up by an inch by propping it on something - make sure you do not block any vent. (thats what a docking station does). helps airflow underneath - where on earth the batteries are located

Yes, it should be. I other do that too because I don't wanna ever have to buy a spanking new battery. I enjoy no idea why I even bought a laptop to originate with! :P

Just look at the plug points can you find dust, it could be dicey. Or if you want to have longer battery-operated life. You better completely use the battery-operated whenever you want to recharge.
Or if your computer is only plugged surrounded by even in that baggage my humble opinion is when you sleep tolerate computer sleep too.
Point of Advise*** Never leave plug surrounded by the socket longer the dust is a cause of fire. Some time electric cable get tangled and grounds short circuit.

I think it is better to unplug the charger periodically and use the battery-operated and run it down then recharge it.
