Recon Laptop from PC World.. No Restore CD's??

Hi, I bought a recon. Laptop from PC world, (I a budding student nurse and we dont win paid much!) Its a E-system 3083. It works fine for what I want it for, however, PC world hasnt give me any restore CD's with it, adjectives the other computer I've had, own had this.. Is this majority? How would I restore my laptop? Thanks, Nina.

Answer:
system restore is not worth the drive space it takes up.
i can count the number of times it have helped me, surrounded by 6 years on one hand.
Your problem is that you own probably bought this pc "as is"
consequently you got no disks etc.
Your first resort is to check this with notebook world ok.
If they turn round and say what i enjoy mentioned then you are stuck near a system needing an operating system!
your notebook should have a sticky label with the os and licence number on it.
Grab a disk of a friend and install/repair using your licence number.
if you take really stuck, get backbone to me and i'll see what i can do ok.
have fun.
System restore should be on a wall on the hard drive
Search on the program menu - it might still own the 'create restore/back up disc' facility - if it has - you newly need a couple of blank CDR's to copy the files - you should enjoy been given the way out to do this at first power up - but, knowing PCWORLD (and I do) they haven't told you this in the hope that it go wrong and they can con more dosh out of you to fix it -
if they didnt give you them next you shouyld have software on the laptop that will allow you to burn them
i got one no cd you gotta fashion one
Quite often on E system equipment in that is a partition on the troop drive with your restore imaginative configuration on. (Not to be confused with system res tore which is something completely different. Look surrounded by your start menu for something like documentation, run this and you should go and get an on screen instruction book which may explain how to burn recovery discs. Failing this another, and probably better preference is to buy a USB hard drive. A 250 see costs Less than lb60, you can then you as free backup programme from www.thefreecountry.com/utiliti... to create a restore dummy. This also gives you lots of space to backup your meaningful work from your laptop and any other computer you may have. In the event of any computer dying on you, (and they do at the most inconvenient times) you own your work safe to verbs to another computer. You should always backbone up important files weekly. Hope this help.
