Sound on laptop skipping/ echoing?

I hold an HP laptop. Its about 6 months weak. When I play music or a video off the internet, the audio have been skipping and/or echoing. What could be the problem? Any well brought-up answers would be appreciated!!

Answer:
I had this problem too.
I fixed it by going to the HP website, to the software and updates slice, and updating the drivers for the sound and video card.
Hope it help for you.

Oh, it also sometimes does that if iTunes or Windows Media Player is running at the same time.
DRIVER PROBLEMS.
Your card may be going doomed to failure. It should be still under warranty I own a hp laptop it came next to a one year warranty. Just call them normaly they will distribute you a box and then you can transport it in and they will look at it for free. I hope this help!!

Andrew
its definately ur driver. try reinstallling or updating it. it should worl properly after. but if its still 'echoing' then its a hardware problem.
If your company is running slower than since, it could be the settings for your Hard Drives are set to PIO mode, changing it put a bet on to UDMA normally solve this problem.
