Hi I get a Toshiba laptop. My DVD rom doesn't work anymore and I call for to install XP on it. HOW? Thx.?
Answer:
Look for the driver for your dvd-rom drive on toshiba's website below support. Then reinstall the driver. Then you should be able to use it to install window xp.
Connect a USB CD-ROM and boot Win XP from it if your Laptop allows you to boot from USB, or just conveyance the bad drive you enjoy, its not that hard.
you any have to capture a new interanal drive or lately buy an external drive that will easyily just hook right up to it
I would recommend that you capture another dvd rom drive usb isnt as fast as internal.
Go to another computer and run the disc on it (while it is on) then click Start> My Computer> after Right Click on Windows Installation CD (D:) and click Open. In that wallet you will find the contents of the CD. Now cause copies of the files in the disc. Now you can transfer the copied files to to a USB Flash Drive. After that Insert the USB flash drive into the computer that requests an OS. While the system starts up, hold in F12 and select boot from compact disc (Which should also boot from flash drive). If this does not work, i don't know what.
ebay.com has apt prices on replacement , drives for that machine, you can also try to verbs the files if your on a network and dont hold a usb drive to use
