The best way to choose a laptop is to digit your needs and try and find one that will not be outdated within about six months.
You may necessitate to spend some money for a good mid compass system, but in the long run you will be better bad.

I don't know what these people are proverb but buying a Vista laptop with 512 mb strike seems approaching a mistake. You really should double that as a minimum for vista. The extra $40+ would really really make a difference. I really siggest 2 gigs for vista, but 1 gis is workable. 512 isn't really.
Well, it depends what you are going to use it for. If you want it for work, consequently it is very extremely good. If you want it for gaming, afterwards i think that it's o.k, but not great. if you hold more money to spend, and you wanted a laptop or desktop for gaming, next get a different one next to a fast processor and lots of RAM and harddrive memory. Robert G be right on when he said that a Vista machine requests a lot of RAM. The notebook you are looking at have Vista Home Basic which won't have any eye candy but will work for you simply fine. It is still a fine buy, just acquire a memory upgrade as soon as you buy it, at least to 1GB of RAM. Though 2GB would be the sweet spot.
Of course it is! Toshiba make the best laptops. I have a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092, and I love it.
