Whats wrong next to my laptop??
I go into the device driver and it said the cd/dvd rom was working properly.
and on window media player it say to connect the burner and restart the program.
Any one had this problem and know how to fix it? im so confused..

Try rebooting, that usually can fix problems similar to that.

Try a cd rom to see if it boots, after a dvd, then a different cd you know that works. If still problem, verbs the lens GENTLY with a cotton bud.
Else fail, contact manufacturer and win them to look at it. Its still under warranty.
If I be in your shoes, I would embezzle the laptop to the closest repair shop and ask the repairman if that is a hardware or software problem.
no notion what is wrong but download ccleaner to your laptop and keep it cleared of temp files,cookies and tons other useless stored stuff ,defragment regular
If you have Vista, I have a sneaking suspicion that it is a bug in it. Just reboot and everthing will work again for a while, consequently it will do it again.

what every suggested but you might try a system restore, you can do this by clicking on start, accessories,system tool, restore, and restore to an more rapidly time when it was working fine vote a week ago , try that
