Which series of Sony Vaio is best suited for a college student?
Answer:
I get sucked in by the sleek looking Vaio a couple of years ago..
Don't follow my head.
-The included software was with intent incompatible with any programs that weren't Sony branded, even Windows!!!
-The DVD drive is locked to your local region substance you can't play burnt disks - I tried unsuccessfully to crack mine for a year!
-I found it almost impossible to burn DVD's too even though the Dual Layer burner be promoted as a major portion!
Go for the bigger, cheaper, less-glamorous brands. Their Warranties are much better and the systems are much more malleable.
If you will be using it predominantly for digital-media (music, video, graphics, animation, photography) then I would seriously consider a Mac, even if you've never used one.
Vaio sucks ****

I would say C series.
Or if you want to spend more move about for the sleeker SZ series.
well, in attendance really isnt a student laptop per say but i would only suggest get the most you can afford. the better you buy in a minute the longer it will stay up to date and usuable.
I wouldn't recommend Sony laptops for college student.
1. They cost a lot more than other laptops. If you look at the hardware inside, you are not getting anything that justify the cost difference. You are basically buying the look. (I own up they are really nice looking) Parts are parts. Take a look at the motherboard manufacturer, probability are that it is the same mother board surrounded by the laptop made by another company.
2. If you can find one that is comparable surrounded by price to competitors, make sure to procure a thicker notebook. The extra weight and size perchance a bother, however, the system should run cooler and therefore administer you better performance and vivacity span.
3. Sony is also known for invading the privacy of users. For example, Sony Cd's own root kit software that installs automatically when you put a music disc in your computer to play music rightfully. (read-any illegally downloaded software can be detected and reported to them: I hear Sony have a little demo company) Once installed, it is very difficult to remove. I wouldn't put it bygone them to do the same to their laptop software. I'm not adage the other company's didn't spy on consumers, I am saying that Sony is unequivocal about their method and method.
