What is the difference between Intel core...?
Am looking at the macbook pro and they are selling the foreign one intel core 2 duo and refurbished intel core duo. What does that mean?
Answer:
The successor to Core is the mobile interpretation of the Intel Core 2 line of processors using cores base upon the Intel Core microarchitecture, released on July 27, 2006. The release of the mobile version of Intel Core 2 results the reunification of Intel's desktop and mobile product lines as Core 2 processors were released for desktops and notebook, unlike the first Intel Core CPUs that were targeted merely for notebooks (although some desktop models of Macintosh, such as the first Intel-based iMac and Mac mini, used the Core Duo).
Unlike the Intel Core, Intel Core 2 is a 64-bit processor, supporting EM64T.
Other than another bump contained by the processor speed, one of the primary differences between the original Core Duo and the foreign Core 2 Duo is an increase in the amount of Level 2 cache. The unmarked Core 2 Duo has doubled the amount of on-board cache to 4MB. Both chips enjoy a 65-nm process technology architecture and support a 667-1066 MHz front-side-bus (FSB).
Core 2 Duo is faster, newer technology.
If you can afford the Core 2 Duo go for it
core 2 duo are the up to date line of cpu's within the best to date.
What does refurbished mean?
There are masses companies that state they are selling refurbished items. Basically when they say refurbished they enjoy tested the used item and replaced any worn or damaged parts.
How do they refurbish items?
Basically but not guaranteed used item resellers will buy a shipment of items from a wholesaler. These items will be in varied degrees of condition. The best condition items are considered Grade A, Grade B would be some marked wear and tear and any echelon below that is really kinda object.
The core 2 duo is faster. The other difference, is when you are not using the computer, to its full processor's power, the core 2 duo doesn't use as much power. You will get better battery-operated life beside intel core 2 duo. For example, Me and my cousin have the basicly one and the same computer, but, he has a intel core duo, and i own a intel core 2 duo. He has a 12-cell freestyle, and i have a 6-cell freestyle. We both get just about the same freestyle life, But my cousin have 6 more cells. And, My computer is greatly faster.
